So this is where my artwork goes through a change. While all of these pieces are based on the idea of breaking down our understanding of text and changing from being completely readable to becoming images and symbols in themselves. The next six pieces of work I created using a new type of process where I take gel medium and mix it with acrylic paint. I lay this mixture out on sheets of plastic for it to dry overnight and then cut out each letter individual and reattach it to a canvas. All of these works except for the piece "Time" are one word (the title of the piece) repeated over and and over again.
